COMING HOME!!

Just wanted to let everyone know, Logan is coming home on Friday! I can't even begin to explain what a good feeling this is. I will post probably on Monday and have new pics and let everyone know how we are doing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What day is it??

Ok, so i've just about run myself ragid. I even had to ask the nurse what day it was. Me & Olivia did our scrapbook (well started it) for Logan. She had her own to do, while we shared the tools. So funny, she said "I will get you your own tape mom, so we don't fight over it!!" I thought I would die. This scrapbooking class was awesome at the NICU and nice to talk with other families that have been there. I have to say, the March Of Dimes does so much to make your stay feel more welcomed.

I have gone thru the baby clothes downstairs and seperated the pink from the neutral. Olivia asked "Why did you dress me in boy clothes when I was a baby mom". So I had to explain the whole neutral color thing and that she did have some blue clothes. Just so everyone knows why my child will be traumitized when she's older!!

Logan is still on the path to coming home. He's up to 3lbs.15oz.!!!!!!!! In NICU talk that is 1778grams and when he reaches 1800grams he's going into a crib. Think this little boy wants out of there!? So he should be in a crib in the next day or so. His hearing test came back and he passed. He took almost a whole bottle 1 1/2ozs. for me today. Usually he just sits and sleeps for me and rich and the nurses take him and he chugs it, so that was incouraging. I will keep you all updated as the days go by.

By the way, anybody know why they call it "kindergarten"?? Olivia asked and I had no answer for her. She's into asking really difficult questions that I can't possibly answer.

Update on Logan

Mr.Logan is doing VERY well. He is only eating now with a bottle, no more feeding tube. He pulled it out on his own one day, he knew he didn't want it anymore. He has a heart murmur and they checked it with a ultrasound and it came back ok. Just another obstacle to get over. I'm still waiting for his hearing test results. He's starting to act just like a "normal' baby now. Being stubborn, crying when he's hungry and hating to be burped. His weight is now 3lbs.10oz. Can you believe how much he's gained in 2 weeks?! My prediction is.........he will be coming home in 2 weeks, that is, if he has no setbacks.

A Busy Weekend

So, where should I start......ok, let's start with Friday. I figured out that we apparently hired a hairstlyist, a wardrobe person, and a cook! Then i figured out it was me! I'm trying to get Olivia off to school (couldn't get her up), so there I am making her breakfast, doing her hair, and helping get her dressed, as she stands there. Oh how I want to be 5 again. So, we got off to school (on time) and came back home to feed the dogs and let them out again and back to school I went to bag fish for the festival. So i bagged fish, all 250 of them (some were DOA) which helped out. Got to see her being line leader and the first thing she asks me is "where did you park the van". Loaded question from a child that tried to escape off the playground the first week of school. Left there and went to see Logan (I'll get to him later) came back, picked olivia up from school and then pretty much left again for the festival. Ok, the festival, it was very nice for the small amount of people that actually put this together. Yes, i must confess, i forgot the camara. She got a fish, i missed the ball in the bowl, but she got it, first try! She never quit running the whole 2hrs. we were there. I begged her to stop and let's eat, but no, there were games to be played and sno cones to eat, etc. I was worn out, can't keep up with her. I WANT TO BE YOUNG AGAIN. So the fish died half way thru the festival, so i got it replaced with another. Well as of Sat. evening, that fish is also on it's way to the ocean. So now she wants me to go and buy another fish.............................

First Post

So I finally got to sit down and do this! Ok, so not much has been happening lately. Olivia has decided that she IS going to school, and not much changes with Logan (although that's good).

Olivia is very excited about school because they are having a Fall Festival there this Friday. I'm glad she can't wait because i'm the one who has to have time to bake the cookies & cupcakes she volunteered us for. I also am hearing that Rich is going to be working the ring toss for a goldfish. Now imagine that, who thinks we could have another family member that lives in water, living with us by the weekend?! I'm also pretty sure she will think Logan needs one also. We are going to visit logan tonight, so hopefully his weight will have gone up........watch out, he'll be 3 1/2lbs. before we know it!!
