Christmas Day...it's such a long day, but well worth it!! We don't seem to get up so early anymore and one little boy slept in until after 8am this year and we had to go and wake him cause his sister just couldn't take it any longer (only to find out why he was sleeping was b/c he was coming down with a cold....go figure)!! Olivia was pleasantly surprised once again this year with stuff she wasn't expecting. I'm learning, the older she gets, the more expensive things get! Logan just went with the flow, you know, open one and play with it like there are no others waiting for him!!! Funny, how a 2yo. works.
So off to Pa. we were. That time also is getting later every year that we leave. I must get control of the time situation. Let me just say, my kids don't realize how nice they have it, with how many people love them and care about them. My family did nothing but surprise us with everything. No wonder they couldn't wait for us to get there. It's funny how Aunt's, Uncle's and grandparent's can spoil 2 kids in a mere 1/2hr. I kid about that, I THANK them all for making Cmas a whole lot brighter this year and many Cmas's past!!
I have to wonder though about all the preaching I did to Olivia about not needing a DSI b/c she just got a DS last Cmas and how we can't possibly buy every new gadget that comes out year after year and wow, imagine that, Uncle Jimmy got her a DSI!! I have to say, I was floored and questioned if that was really what was in the box! And then there is the MP3 player that is just way cooler than mine that had music all ready to go for it! hmmmmmmmmm......someone did a lot of thinking and shopping this Cmas!
Last but not least, let's talk about every parent's worst nightmare of a gift.....any guesses? Seriously, a drum set for a 2yo. boy!! All I can say is Thankfully I have a basement and second, hand me downs within the family are just great! :) What they don't think about is I'm the one with the 1. only kids and 2. the oldest kids . That has great potential for the future. I will have pics if my brother remembers to send them to me!!
On a lighter note.....Rich and I got Steeler field jersey's!!! Hoping to get to wear them for the super bowl this year!! Olivia also got her jersey "refreshed" by getting a new one!
There was so much more and I could write forever. But everyone just really out-did themselves this year and it was great!
He's just so rotten cute!

Christmas Eve 09
Ah, Christmas Eve, the day when your a kid and you can't control yourself, sleep or eat! Those were the days. I decided this year that I was going to mix my mom's Cmas Eve with the Nagle's Eve, being I don't get back home for it and I truly miss it and I'm tired of my thoughtful siblings sending me phone pics of the food. Since it was last minute, like everything I did this year, I was really against the calendar and clock of what I could do. Patience run thin here that close to the holiday, so patience also played a part in what I could put together. I decided Mushroom Machunka was going to be the flavor this year to share. Even if nobody else liked it, me and Rich would devour it!! Hehehe
You have to be a lover of sauerkraut, lots of garlic, and mushrooms, to truly appreciate this food. It's sour and will make you say "and why do I like this so much", but it's sooooooo good. So all I needed was this to turn out right and get the taste just right and I knew I could pull it off! Well, yes, I did. It was a little thick and I could have added water, but believe me, I did not want to mess with the taste that I had! It was actually a hit, but it is one of those things, that either you love it or you just hate it.
So we were off to Cmas Eve with our presents, machunka, and homemade scallop potatoes. Yes, when I want to cook and bake, I do it very well. Mainly when no little children are hanging on my leg. The kids were so excited. I swear they get more excited every year more than the last. Logan just pretty much goes with the flow, although next year he should understand more.
Off we were to get home to get to bed, with Snuggie's in tow and gifts galore! Is there anybody that hasn't gotten a Snuggie for cmas!? I've just seen them under so many trees this year! Off to bed without a argument (Logan was just plain tired), but we had tracked Santa this year so he was close at this point, so eyes went shut real quick! Mom praying it wouldn't be pouring rain like cats and dogs for the mornings trip to Pa..................to be continued
Yes, that is a beer bottle in my son's hand(s). Apparently he's going to be a double fister some day! No need to worry, the bottle was empty!

Crazy Kids
Well the whole Christmas spirit, sleepless nights, and bouncing off the walls has happened to Olivia. Funny what Christmas will do to a kid. She gets all these crazy ideas about what we should be making, baking and decorating! The girl needs her own personal assistant! That's an idea for a gift!!
Logan could just care less about Christmas yet, which is kind of funny to watch him watch Olivia and not really know why she is doing something or talking about! Two yrs. old is fun to watch. He is copying everything Olivia does and he laughs his little butt off. I still can't believe a 2yo. can be so happy!!
So I still have so much to do before the big day. So far behind on everything. Sadly, our Christmas cards have been printed since before Thanksgiving and they still sit in the bag I brought them home in! Think I'll get caught up??...................

New Pictures
As promised I put these other pictures on after Thanksgiving. Couldn't dare ruin my family's surprise of seeing them first! Sorry I could not crop any of them. My brother had to "re-do" my computer over the holiday and for some reason these pics will not let me crop them. Maybe they are not in the right place on the computer for that?? Who knows, just go with it!
How was every one's Thanksgiving?? You really can't beat all that good eating and conversation. Christmas is coming fast and before you know it, it will be Christmas Eve....... it goes way too quick. I wish i had about 8 more waking hrs. in a day. I could achieve so much more.
I have some new ideas for this blog starting in the new year. I know I haven't been very good about keeping it up, but between a very active 2yo. and my computer working like we still had dial-up, it became very frustrating. I think you all will like the new ideas i have and it will keep you more informed, more often.
So now I'm off to try to complete some of the many projects that I've started and are still not done. I have to decorate the house for xmas this weekend, one little girl keeps reminding me that we are not decorated yet and how she wants to bring the tree in and put it up!!! Of course first, i have decided to change rooms around before the holidays and I need to do a major cleaning before putting up decorations...........see what i mean about needing 8 more hrs.!!!!

Sneak Peak
Busy, Busy, Busy and it's not even Thanksgiving yet! Did I mention how badly I'm waiting for this week to pass by?! Oh,I can't wait till next week........Mom's cooking, family, the Macy's parade, shopping, and just getting out of Ohio!! I have a feeling this xmas is going to be a fun one!
Speaking of christmas...I got a little done for it this week. We got our pics done and my cards are also done!! That's makes me 1/4 of the way done!! Not to spoil the fun for my family I'm not posting most of the pics on here until after Thanksgiving, but just wait till you see them! They are not as clear as I would like them, but I'm assuming that's b/c they are off a disc??
Olivia is just counting down the days to go to Pa. In fact she had a meltdown the other day in the car over pappy nesbit. Poor kid, she just broke down crying about how she missed them!! Oh, I feel her pain.
Logan is talking up a storm these days, meaning he's repeating everything and calling objects by their names. I get tons of kisses before bed!! Love it! He's learning to recognize shapes now and his numbers. So all he wants you to do is draw so he can name them.......hey if he wants to learn, I'm all about that!!

Hello everyone! Here's our (Olivia's) new addition. The poor kitty is named Stacy, and it's a boy but if you ask Olivia it's a girl and there's no two ways about it. On further review, it is a boy, so it will remained confused the rest of it's life.........
Well here we are into Nov. already. Black Friday ads being posted, turkey advertised in the local flyer, and i'm so far behind on doing stuff, I need it to be August all over again!! LOL I have started making "wish lists" for the kids on what I think santa should bring, Olivia's list in front and back of a notebook sheet and her comment to me when I said "maybe you should trim that down a little and possibly take the laptop(yes a laptop) off of it" was..........well, santa is magical and they make stuff at the North Pole, so it shouldn't be a problem! Yikes, who created this "i've thought ever possible answer out in the world" child!! Somebody needs to inform her that Mrs. Clause stays at home with her children(elves) so they don't have to go to a babysitter and Santa, well he can only work so many hrs. in a week. (note to self).............
We had teacher/parent conference last week and of course it's the same ol' thing, she's doing great and I'm very proud of her for that. I have noticed something through the yrs. now and since we have 3yrs. in now, I have other yrs. to compare too. Every teacher she has had (3 now, well 4 if you count preschool) has picked up on her incredible creative talent she has. Now as a mother, of course i see it, but to have 4 teachers pick up on it and bring it to your attention, that says something. It says she expresses it not only at home, and the teacher is paying enough attention to pick up on it and let her express herself in school which now a days is a bonus.........
On a lighter note: Looking to trade a 2yo. male for a 5yo., potty trained male and in full time kindergarten............that sums up what Logan has been up to these days!!!!!!!!

Halloween '09
Where do I start? Time has passed me by once again and when I saw how long it's been since I've posted pics, i realized your all probably feel deprived! We have done some things since the last post. We went to the akron zoo for "Boo at the Zoo", Olivia has gotten a perfect report card (I love her teacher so much), we have received Olivia's book with her drawing on the front (which reminds me, i should take pic and post), and a lot of things that I just can't remember!!
I have recently gotten addicted to Facebook and spend a lot of "spare"(yeah, right) time on there. Funny how many people you forgot about and suddenly there they are.
I look into this little kids faces and I see a story. A lot can be told by a look. I see stories of success and i see triumph when odds are stacked against you. As we go places and do things I am realizing the age difference in my kids and what a struggle it can be somedays and i think "I can't", but at the end of the day "I did". Age can be such a difficult task that I have learned through my own experience with my own sister. We have so many different ways of thinking about things. I hope for the future the distance doesn't become longer between Olivia & Logan but only brings them closer. For right now, it's a struggle, she's old enough to do things I've waited 7yrs. to do with her. Logan is at a bad age right now for doing those activities and it causes stress on me to work around obstacles to make it right. I do enjoy both kids at their seperate ages for who they are at that age and their different personalities, it is fun to watch them grow and at the end of the day it's nice to sit back, watch a good show and sleep all night only to get up the next morning and do it all over again!! Oh well, truth be told "I will get through this"..............

Growing Up, Nagle Style
The Nagle style of course is small!! I have noticed lately just how much Logan is growing up. This excites me when I really notice him doing more and doing more better. Like the other day when I told him to sit down on the step and let me put his shoes on, and he did, rather than just to keep walking off the edge of the step! He actually got it!! He didn't walk off the edge like a plank! That's huge in this house. Even little things outside he's getting better at doing. His hands are still small and stalky causing him to stack blocks and basically knocked them down with his little fat hands, but oh well, he's healthy right?! He does say more words here and there, not putting two words together yet. The best though is when you ask him to give you a kiss now, you actually get one. There isn't nothing better than a good night kiss at bedtime! I've waited so long.............
Olivia loves that he plays with her now. She even notices Logan doing more now. She likes to wrestle (cause that's what boys like, right?) but she's a little rough yet. He's so interested in her playing her DS that he will cuddle up next to her or put his head on her shoulder while she's plays. I waited so long for Olivia to have a sibling to cuddle to...................priceless

The weather has certainly changed here and quick. One week we are into shorts, the next we need all the clothes we can get our hands on. I'm not quit ready for the cold air yet, but is anybody?! I'm afraid of us jumping straight into this dreary outside look and not having that gorgeous Fall.
My computer has been acting up big time, and it's painfully slow to do anything on. I think it's got H1N1, just saying!! Nothing like trying to "hurry" to get stuff looked up and done on the computer while Logan is lurking in the background just waiting to agitate me and not leave me alone, and the computer acts like dial-up!! :(

Logan got his hair cut again and big sister insisted he needed it styled into a Mohawk. Guess I will let her suggest things like that for him now, cause she's not going to be able to do it much longer!! Can you only imagine once Logan gets a little older and the two personalities butt heads............

Annoyed 7yo. + 1 Wild 2yo.=???
Let me start by saying, "Isn't that the cutest scarecrow you've seen this year, minus his hat?" These pics are for your enjoyment and I hope you double over laughing at the expressions as much as I did. Mind you, we are dealing with a 7 yr.old and a 2yr.old...need I say more?! These pics were taken out at the in-laws campground sat. night..........enjoy!!

It's officially Fall, and so it's time to bake! I love all the baking in the fall and for x-mas. I started by baking and taking a picture of this coconut pie. It tasted as good as it looks! I am putting it on here to prove my self worth in this family of bakers/artist!!
Not much has been going on here lately. Just doing the whole school thing and I did finally get done doing some much needed Fall cleaning. On a lighter note, I asked Logan to smile for me and I would take his picture and this is what I got! The good thing about him giving me this goofy smile is something you don't think about. He gets it!! Meaning, when I tell him to smile and I'll take his picture, he does!! This probably didn't mean as much to me when Olivia first did this or should I even say recognized the request, but with Logan, it once again shows you how different preemies are and how much everything little notion counts!! His every move, word, function is under a microscope all the time to make sure he's coming along the way he should be, with Olivia you just expected it and it was done. So now if he would just "get" pick up your toys and put them away, we would have accomplished the world...........

Labor Day..Goodbye Summer
I hope everyone had a great Labor Day weekend. Let's face it folks, summer is over. I get excited for this time of the year, because after a long summer everyone is tired and it's time to get back to a routine. I run so much better on routine. I get my "me" time back at night, my mornings start so much earlier and I can get more done, and the best part......my kids are going to bed before 9pm!! YIPEE!
I have to admit for the longest time I was a person who only loved summer. Never really appreciated the other seasons. More and more I enjoy spring and fall almost as much. I love the color change in fall and even the smell of fall. The temps. are just about right for doing anything and your not freezing or sweating your butt off. So, I welcome fall.......do you?

Birthday...Part 2
Ok, first let me explain my neighbors. My neighbors (Tim, above & Judy) are wonderful people. The kind you always want living next to you. My neighbors are CRAZY! They like to blow things up, let off illegal fireworks and have huge bonfires. See except they are not just your typical roast your marshmallow beside the fire, kind of fire, these fires explode and have a mushroom cloud! They are set off by used motor oil (all you "Green" people, I know, I know, but it's not me) and gasoline poured on at just the right time to let the fumes build!! Seriously, these are our neighbors. They decided to have one of their annual parties the day of Logan's b-day and just make it one big party. Cool, except when you have done this for over 5yrs. sooner or later someone is going to call the fire dept. on you. Well it just so happened that night! So the cops and the fire dept. arrived and put out the fire. Way to put a damper on the party!! Anyway, so when you are going to get a $$ fine, you might as well ask them to put on a show and turn the lights and sirens on and let you sit in the truck, so that's what we did!! Logan got his b-day turned into a fire truck b-day bash! So he got to sit in the truck (along with Tim) and watch the lights and he wasn't too sure about the horns and sirens, a little too loud yet for him.
A funny note to all of this was that poor Olivia had thought we had the firetruck come on purpose for Logan's b-day and was fuming that we never had one come for her b-day. Well after some explaining that this was not the plan for night and what actually had happen, she went to bed happy and not fuming over brother getting something she never did!! I love a happy ending..........
