***Let me explain the wording above. I left the screen up on the computer hoping to get back to it soon after I loaded the pics up and Olivia saw it and wanted to blog herself, therefore you have her explanation in her own words (and spelling).
So it's summer time and my routine of getting up early and being showered before the kids get up and rolling with the rest of the day like clock work, has definitely been interrupted. Not that I don't welcome "lazy" days or for that matter get caught up on sleep I've missed out on in the past.......what 7yrs.! I am a creature of routine and when out of it, I can't function. Apparently that means that I lose all control of my children. We have been badly fighting Olivia and her attitude and the way she talks to us ( i know she's 7 and wait until she's 13), but I have decided it's time for mommy boot camp. I am not living with nor raising a monster. I swear it's the tv shows now a days with the older girls and the way they talk. But not just to blame tv, I am supposed to be in control of this. I will let you know how this plays out in time, but for now today is a little better after we had it out last night over her mouth.
On the flip side of the human race, we have a little boy! As you can see from the pics above (although they are very cute) what you don't see is him defying me and Rich. He is not supposed to be in the front yard. Sadly, we live on a dead end street and I would not trust a rabbit out front for the way and how fast the cars go up and down this road. We have a fully fenced in yard in back, but he insist on being in the garage and in the driveway. Ok, that is fine, I want to sit up my chair and sit like the queen of my castle. After about 10 min. of thinking how long I have waited to be able to sit and watch them play and catch my breath, he's off in the front yard and yes, turning around looking for you! Oh the joys of 2yos. So i understand that there's not much communication with Logan, being he doesn't talk too much yet, but really, he knows he's not allowed when he starts laughing at you!
All of that to say...............How many more days until school starts again?????

I haven't been a very good blogger lately. We have had a bunch of things going on and the kids have just spent all my energy that by night time, I just want to sit in front of the tv and eat my ice cream, ALL BY MYSELF!! As you can tell by the pics above, we have 6 new additions to our family. Once again we have a litter of kittens. Cute as they are, they could have lightened someone else's door step. Olivia is like a mother hen with them and has built several new "houses" for them with doors and all. Logan loves them also, but wants to grab them by the neck or ears. OUCH! He's now not aloud to hold them and it drives him crazy. Doesn't help either that his sister taunts him with them. He tries, but he's got not self control not to squeeze!
Along with other first this year, this was Olivia & logan's first wedding. See we don't have a regular sitter for the kids, so we chose to take them with us.......Note to self: FIND A BABYSITTER.........Olivia wasn't so bad, she was just excited about everything. Logan wanted to dance his life away. Ok, before you all go "well what's wrong with that", please remember we are dealing with a almost 2yo. and the reception didn't start until 7:30pm. (BTW...it was rich's cousin Tara and new husband Jason that got married and oh so cute they are together. They got married at the beach and then had their reception here.) Ok, so I was thinking Logan wouldn't be that big of a deal b/c he would play shy to everyone and hang on my leg like everywhere else we go, right?? Of course not! It was hard keeping him off the dance floor when he needed to be (example: Father/Daughter dance) yeah, you get where i'm going with this. There were other kids there also, so that was fun for them. Key the music, Logan is also in a "stage" of hitting people and kids in the face...........LOVELY! So what do you suppose he did every time he got close to a girl his size.........you guessed it. I couldn't really drink, although I'm thinking I really should have and everything would have just been funny, but the drinks weren't tasting all that good to me, probably since I'm outta practice. We could just chalk that up to God simply saying, "No, you will be totally coherent to chase these children", punishment at it's worst. So all in all, it went well. Olivia got to dance and dance with Logan. We left at 11pm, had to force Logan in his car seat, as he was exhausted and wanted to stay longer, kids in bed.........nobody slept in the next morning....................to be continued

Tara & Jason (too cute)

Olivia's own self portrait.

I did get to pawn my children for a bit off on Aunt Melinda!!

Milestone

Another year, another milestone. Olivia learned to finally ride her bike without training wheels. Thanks to the neighborhood girl who was is smaller than olivia that was out riding hers. That always seems to work!

Logan would just rather pull his around.

Flight 93

As I promised myself ,this was the year that I was getting to Somerset to see this memorial. I have to tell you somethings that I noticed while there. First ,how everyone just knows to respect this as the "resting place". I also noticed just how quickly this place will take you back to that day, the very thing you were doing, why, how and what time. It's kind of eerie how while you there it's almost 9/11 again. Anyway, just something you have to experience yourself, but I hope you all do. This memorial is basically a small parking lot, made for the memorial on a piece of land out in nowhere. When they say this plane could not have gone down in a better remote place, that saying is underestimated, it could have never landed in a better place or position. It is small and there are tons of items left behind from people visiting. Fortunately they are going to begin a permanent memorial with the first phase being completed for the 10yr. anniversary.

If you look closely above at the field pic, there is a American Flag hung on a fence. Let me give you more of a visual. The memorial is across the road from where the plane landed. The site is pretty far down the field so you are hardly able to see anything, but it was also filled in, and planted with wild flowers. At the new memorial, I believe it will take you down closer to the crash site. These pics are just some of memorial stones and items left behind.

These are the angels that were one of the first items put there and have each name on them.

Overall, I am very glad we got to go. Olivia just couldn't understand the whole impact of it, but I didn't expect her to really. To her, it was where a plan crashed, period. I was just pregnant with her when this happened, so I guess she will have to learn it in school. I will go back when the permanent memorial is done or the first phase is complete and hard to believe that will be 10yrs. afterwards..............

Are We There Yet?

Are We There Yet? Those are famous words, aren't they? Who hasn't heard them and who cringes to hear them? LOL Thank goodness Logan can't really talk yet! Anyway, we survived our trip and made our "annual" trip to the Pitts. Zoo. Aunt Nicole is nice enough to let us use her year pass to get in. As you can see in the pic Logan is at that age where he can't stand still long enough to get a good pic taken. I wish I had the energy of a almost 2yo. What was funny about this pic was, they were showing you the growth of a elephant, well poor Logan is still the height of a average newborn human! Funny, we know he's small!
Olivia looking darling like always and always wanting to pose! Gosh, can I say one more time, how big she is getting.........

Logan was kind of interested in seeing the animals, but hold him back when we hit the aquariums! Good gosh, if it hadn't been for the diaper he was wearing he would have peed himself. He loves water and "fishies". Every time he sees water, automatically "fishies, fishies", please someone buy him a fish for his b-day. He was so extremely excited to see those fish, he didn't know what to look at first.

Elephants and gorilla's always amaze me! No pics of gorilla's this time.
This peacock wasn't around the last time we were there. Really a beautiful animal. I sure wouldn't want the burden of those feathers.

Well there was certainly more to our trip but I will post more later.
