I'm still here, haven't run away! Who really wants to see pics of me cleaning?? I am still rearranging, throwing out, recycling, and Goodwilling! Basically, making room for us. I am ready for a change in the color schemes and so forth.
Logan is doing really, really good at maneuvering himself around. He sits up on his own from being on his belly, turns like no body's business, gets down on his belly forward and just doesn't fall back. Speaking of falling back, he sits nice and tall like a big boy now and doesn't fall over!! HUGE ACCOMPLISHMENT!! Kudos to you, Mr. Big Boy! He wants to stand a lot now, even when you are holding him. You know what is next! I am so excited for him to do new stuff, he gets frustrated sometimes, I think, that he can't go after Olivia.
Speaking of Miss. Olivia, she got her progress report from school on Friday, and everything was excellent!!! Kudos to me,,,,,,,,,just kidding, school comes very natural to her and I am very lucky to have that with her. Speaking of coming natural, her quick wit comes natural. We finally got all the bigger sticks picked up from that horrible wind storm we had. I was thinking they would be great starter sticks and it was beautiful last weekend, so perfect time to get outside. We were about done and she had her end to picking up sticks, when she asked, why this big storm came through here? So I answered with, "well God must have thought the trees needed cleaned out", which is what I say when it rains for days, that God must have thought the trees needed a good drink. She comes back, in a matter of seconds, "Well, if God thought the trees needed cleaned out, and he made this big mess, he should figure out a way to clean his own mess up". Now, seriously, what do you say to that!!

On a Lighter Note....
I haven't blogged in awhile. I have been, once again, extremely busy. With Ebaying stuff, and cleaning out stuff.......doesn't leave much extra time. I have finished my basement, and I must say, sometimes I do impress myself. I did get rid of some toys, either broke or useless, that we just haaaaad to hang on to. We moved the bedrooms around and gave the kids our room and took Olivia's smaller room. It looks so much better. There's more room for her "stuff" and doesn't look as clutter. I haven't gotten in there yet to put things in places and decorate, but in due time. They both seem to like being in together. I think Olivia always wanted to share a room and have someone in there with her. It's working for now, so let's see. I need to get started upstairs now and I've got some big ideas to make this house look bigger. I get in these moods once in awhile. So, I'm basically spring cleaning, but in the fall. I couldn't have done it in the spring with Logan anyways.
Every now and again Olivia's says something really funny and doesn't realize how funny it is. I had asked her about her friend Lillie in her class and she responded with: "Lillie belongs to the Super Bug Club(this happens at recess) and I joined for a day and all I saw was a ant and it didn't look like it was in any danger, so I quit".
We had such high winds Sunday, I had never seen them this bad before, that they closed schools on Monday. A lot of power was out and trees were down everywhere. Olivia was bored and I sat Logan down with her while she was playing with her Little People and they were playing together with them. Pretty much Logan just tormented his doll and Olivia had a fit, but she let him do it. He didn't know what to think of their hair, or maybe when he pulled it and they didn't scream, he wasn't sure why. He is now sitting really good and getting down in a crawling position from sitting. He is trying very hard to sit up from down on the floor and he is almost there except for getting his legs out from behind him. He also is standing pretty good on his own. I am once again so excited for him to do this stuff. I think I will cry when he walks. That will be the biggest accomplishment. He is eating table food really good. I have finally made myself start with him and keep with it. He is done with formula, which is kind of a sad note, maybe not as sad as the bottle going bye, byes someday. Just means he's getting bigger, and older and I can't keep him a little baby forever...............

Red, White & Blue
Today was "Patriotic" day at school, so since Olivia was wearing the colors, she felt that the rest of us should too. She has no clue why it was that day, I'm sure they don't discuss it in school. Could you imagine the questions and the fear you would put into a 6yo., when life to them is guarded and fun? I couldn't imagine growing up and knowing that something like that could actually happen in this country.
Where were you? Where were you when it all happened? I bet you remember. I do, I was at my parents house, don't remember why, cause I was staying there and Rich was in Ohio working. I was not far along pregnant with Olivia at the time. I remember watching the tv trying to figure out what exactly was going on. Did a plane really have a malfunction or that bad of a miscue? Then clearly after the second one, it was neither, but I still couldn't figure out what was happening, after all, that doesn't happen in this country. Then I heard that there was a plane flying around in Pa. No, surely not here, I'm safer in Pa. than anywhere else. What would someone possibly want to fly into in Pa. in the country for that matter? I had talked to Rich and he thought I was nuts about the plane in Pa., thinking that same thing about the country. Well ,we all now know why that plane was there and what happened. Being pregnant, I kept thinking, "I am really going to bring a baby into this world and we are being attacked". Just my luck, I wait this long to meet Mr.Right, finally am having my first baby and we got planes flying around and running into things! The world did change.
I remember wondering what those poor, poor people were thinking falling out the windows with no where else to go. What do you possibly think before jumping? How insanely horrible. We have a airport not far from us, so there are planes flying over all the time. On a bad weather day, they fly really low, low enough that you can see what animal is on the tail of a Frontier airline plane, and I look at the size and wonder what it would have been like to see that coming at your window..........................

Let The Games Begin
Olivia finally had her first game to cheer at. They were all very excited, especially when they brought out the pom-poms. It keeps Logan entertained for awhile also! He so idolizes Olivia right now, it's kind of funny. They have finally started to play on the floor together, actually play and it's neat watching the two of them interact together. Logan does try to do some stuff that his sister does and I'm thinking she's going to be a very good learning tool for him!!
There are several things I have learned in the past week:
-My little girl is growing up quick, right in front of my eyes. First Grade and I'm not aloud to hug and kiss her when the bus pulls up cause the other kids will see her!
- She can walk home from the bus stop by herself (so she says), "just let me do it one time!!". (hasn't happened yet)
-She is not afraid to get in trouble in school, as she has gotten her second RED day on Monday. Not going over real well.
-Logan is a side sleeper. I started to notice him sleeping on his side and now always he is sleeping on his side. He also is growing up right in front of my eyes.
-9:15 pm seems so late anymore!
Not much of anything else happening. I have been cleaning out clothes and everything in my path starting in the basement. I've got the urge to toss stuff, so now is the time to get it done. I have been selling what I can on ebay and making some extra money from it, so that is taking a lot of my time to get that together and get it posted to sell. Basically, I am Fall cleaning, not Spring cleaning...............

Here We Go
It's not yet winter or fall, for that matter, but Logan has gotten sick already. He may have been sick once last year, if my memory serves me correct (who knows these days), so you know what it's like when a baby gets stuffed up..........mommy don't sleep! You do what you gotta do to get through the night, but man, it takes it toll. I have a stiff neck, guess I was sleeping on my head or something. Today he seems a little better. Our house and probably us at this point ,all smell like Vick's. Hopefully by the weekend he will be back to normal.
Olivia got her first (and probably won't be the last) bad mark for the day. They have a color chart for behavior everyday. It goes yellow, red, green, blue after that, your just in big trouble. She got red! I was (wasn't) surprised by this and thinking, "This is only the second week of school." She likes to talk, a lot. She tells us that is what it was from. You know how girls are, talk, talk , talk, talk. Doesn't really seem to bother her, she's like her dad that way. I maybe got in trouble in my 12yrs (13 counting K) possibly twice! Now Rich is a different story. I was afraid to get in trouble, not her. What's funny is, the secretary (which I still don't understand how she plays into this) told Olivia if she didn't quit talking she was going to call her mother, because I know your mom and she won't like that very much! I do know the secretary and Olivia just gave me that look.............

So Starts the Week
Let me tell you how much I didn't want to get up this morning and start moving. I was excited about getting back into a routine after 3 days off, but the body didn't want to get moving and neither did Olivia. I had to keep going back and telling her, "Let's go", but all ended well, she caught the bus on time and was happy about going to school again. She asked me on Sunday if she only had one more day off and then school again cause she couldn't wait to go back, isn't that seriously every mother's dream come true!, i know it is mine compared to last year!
We didn't do anything great or wonderful over the weekend. My family did not get to come out as planned and Rich had to work both Sat.& Sun., so that left me and the kids. We made the most of it though, had to take Olivia's shoes back and get a different pair, got Logan's Halloween costume (it's adorable), and then did some grocery shopping. It's been so hot during the day again, but it gets so cool in the evenings. So you know what's coming, weather wise, around the corner............YIKES!
