Back to normal...well that's refreshing. It was nice for the holidays to be over and get back into routine. Olivia was anxious to get back to school (love this age) and we needed to take back our house with decorations being put away!
Logan still isn't walking yet, although I think he's getting close but he's balance is still not steady enough to leave go and "go" yet. I kind of get frustrated sometimes knowing by now Olivia was well off on her own conquering the world on her new feet and I didn't have to carry and lift her everywhere we went. I would just like Logan to be able to walk into the store and stand there until I can put him into the cart. Do you realize how hard that is to do with how big he is?? Never thought about it before until I have had to do it so much lately. Exhausting I tell ya!
The weather forecast is promising lots of bitterly cold weather the next few days and some snow with it. Like we need anymore with the 6 inches we have left from last time. It looks very "wintry" outside now. Who knows if Liv will get any days off this week b/c of it, but she will sure drive me nuts in the house all day. She will got out and play in the snow, but it doesn't last real long, after all she doesn't have anyone to play with unless Rich stays out with her. I told her mom has to get some snow pants to play outside. I can't take the cold. I'm rather a wimp compared to my early days and would play out in it for hrs. upon end, soaking wet and not want to come home. Oh, those were the days, and we didn't get sick either!!!
I have been reading a lot lately. I am now reading The Christmas Sweater which so far is holding up it's end of being a New York Times best-seller. I am glad I have been able to sit down again and take up a old hobby!
Many people ask," Did you make your New Year Resolution?".........well no,I don't. Never really did. I could probably never keep to one with all the curves life hands you through the year. I guess I always try to do better the next year than the last with lots of things. I always feel like you learn from your mistakes from the following year and you make them better the next. You get wiser every year and make your life better. Isn't that why you get older and wiser??? True believer in that one. The wisest people you know are the elder ones. I do know this for sure this year, Olivia will turn 7(yeah, can you believe?), Logan will turn 2 (where did the time go), Olivia will enter into 2nd grade (sigh, I want to keep her in K forever), and Logan will walk this year (eventually), those things I am sure of for 2009...............
This was the first time Logan got into the pantry and took out his own box of cookies and sat eating them. It was kind of cute as me and Rich turned the corner and saw him, just grinning from ear to ear.
First time too that I seen him sitting like a "big boy" instead of always with his legs out in front of him. Reminds me how much he is growing up!
