Feeling Good

It's over. Logan's surgery is finally done and over and I must say, it went extremely well! He's a trooper. They did let us come home on friday, so that was a relief this time. By the time we got home, you couldn't tell he had anything done! In fact, other than being a little drowsy from the meds., it was like we never went. We have had some OMG moments with the catheter, but we are doing good. The catheter don't come out until Monday, so we are hanging in there, I feel a little better this time with it, being I am a veteran catheter taker carer!! LOL

Something funny kind of happened friday morning at the hospital. Did you ever feel like you were put in a place for a reason, but didn't know it until after the fact? Funny, Children's Hospital was having there annual radiothon last weekend and it started friday morning at 6am (which we were there for, bright and early) and ran through sunday. I had no idea this was the day for it and to be honest didn't really know much about it. I knew Olivia was collecting change and they were doing different events at school to raise money, but didn't know the magnitude of it all. I got to intently watch this radiothon taking place and the money people were giving and the patients they would talk about or bring down from their rooms. It gave me goosebumps at times, feeling like yeah, I know what your talking about. I got so involved with this I came home and listened on the radio and watched on the Internet. I felt so drawn to listen to what was going on. Then I realized, you were put there on that day for a reason and that was the reason. Believe me, there isn't a day that don't go by that I don't realize how lucky I am to have that gorgeous little face smile at me, but it makes me realize even more how lucky I am to have that little face smile back at me........

Olivia is a wonderful drawer. In fact she puts me to shame on drawing and making projects out of "junk", as I like to call it. She is crazy nuts over Alvin and the Chipmunks. Funny for how old they are. I even at times have to tell her to stop talking like a chipmunk! Seriously! Anyway, these are one of many, many drawings of hers of the chipmunks that I thought were worth sharing with you. She is so crazy over these chipmunks, that she said her brother was starting to look like Theodore!! LOL...........................
