Signs of Beautiful Summer

I love this time of the year and certain flowers "shine". I live to call these the "big dogs" of all my flowers! My Hibiscus (above) are like the last great summer blooming finale at my house. They seem to literally stop traffic. We have several of them down our driveway, along the front of the house and out back. Everybody that stops by wants to know what they are and how beautiful they are. Sadly, they only have a flowering life span of about a day per flower. They are so very delicate, paper thin really. They is a history with these flowers and the daylillies below, when I worked at the greenhouse years ago, these seemed to need a new home and found one. Well since departing the greenhouse in Pa., they have been planted in Pa., moved to Oh., then moved again to this house in Oh. They have quit a moving history and all have survived every dig. Will there be another dig someday????...............

Olivia and her kittens! If I don't include these guys in my blog, she won't leave me alone until I do........so here we go. Olivia is still being mother hen to these little critters. She is a cat lover! They have been introduced to the outside world via plastic wheelbarrow. They are so used to her carting them around, they cry for her at their box to come and get them!!
