Where O' Where Did He Go??

If you happen to find this little content boy who doesn't act like a 2yo., please contact me. I have lost him somewhere and I'm about to lose my mind. Seriously, why is the 3's such a hard age. When Olivia was 3, thought I was going to lose my mind (ok, I did), now Logan is getting close and I'm about to lose what's left. Yes, Logan is a whole different child than Liv, so I thought this wouldn't happen, I was wrong. Why should I have thought I could have my pie and eat it too.

I want to blame it on the fact that he has a hard time communicating with us and is frustrated. Another part says, "nope he's almost 3". I know the saying "terrible twos", well I'd like to add a new one, "horrible threes". I will get through this, I will survive this, he will grow up and leave someday!!! It doesn't help that Olivia is off doing her own things during the summer, that he can't attend b/c of his age. All he wants to do is go with the kids. Isn't it awful though when you have to pick and chose where to take him for the sake of your sanity?! No matter which direction you want to go, he wants and NEEDS to go the opposite. Doesn't want to sit in the car seat anymore and of course arches his back so you can't bend him and strap him in! Bring back any memories. This is why there will be no more Nagle children in this household. Believe me, I love, love, love my children to death, but some days(ages) are much harder than others!!

I hope everyone has a great 4th. The weather is supposed to be the best ever! Hopefully our pool will get lots of use. The water was so warm this past weekend. If I'm saying that, you know it's warm. I even bought these Heat Keeper balls to put in the pool to keep the water warm. I am desperate to keep the heat in!

I have been real busy with cleaning, couponing and recently joined a fantastic company online called PineconeResearch. They send out surveys and are a excellent company and I'm having fun doing that. They only open their company every once in awhile to new people and I finally got in........phew! That took a long time to beat other people out!

Have a great weekend & enjoy!

The look on Logan's face just says it all.

There is a small bug on the pool and he's just not sure about bugs yet.

This bubble machine is the best $10 you'll ever spend for a 2yo.

Swear, I wrote in paragraphs. Once again, didn't put them that way. Everything can't be perfect.

Butterflies

We did the whole butterfly from caterpillar thing. I must admit, it was neat even for me. Funny when you get your live caterpillar's in the mail one day. We had five and all five made it to the end. We did have one die and figured we'd better let them go after that. Afterall, butterflies only live 2-4 weeks, did you know? Not many people do. Apparently mosquito's have a much longer life span, since there are so many of them. But overall it was fun to watch. When do you ever get to see that, start to finish, ever outside. Our cat seemed to like chasing them in their netted cage and that led to putting them in the bedroom with the door shut and also making sure you didn't close the door with the cat in the bedroom also. Yep, it happened once. Does anything truly surprise me anymore, nope!

Summer is off to a nice start. We are learning to sleep in a little. Ok, the kids are, you don't have to convince me to do it. I have gotten my basement totally cleaned and even Olivia noticed how much better it looked. She even dragged Rich down to show him how different it looked. Apparently it was bad. Now to tackle the upstairs. I want to paint this year. Yes, I don't really want to wash walls down, so why not paint them! I have some ideas, so we will see how that plays out.
I guess, well from what my parents tell me, I had a little reputation growing up, of talking a lot all the time. Like I would ever remember or would think I talked a lot myself. Well I'm here to tell you, I don't hold a candle to my daughter. Not one bit. My ears are bleeding from all the talk. She's even talking while eating, because you might just want to know something. Honestly, I have never in my life heard someone talk so much or have that much to say.............On the flip side of that, I have discovered Logan speaking some Spanish. I can understand the boy better as time goes on and Olivia can understand him best. I'm starting to think he's speaking Spanish and nobody is picking up on it. I caught on the other day when he told me "Gracious", going to take a stab at the spelling on that (hey, I took French in school), but i thought, we need to listen more closely to him. Logan loves, loves, loves (sounds like a Jersey Housewife, those who watch Bravo know what I'm saying) Dora and he watches very intently to her, so makes me wonder if he really does know what he's saying and the rest of us need to watch more Dora............???????

I Will Help

Logan is my helper. He wants to help and likes helping. I also notice him putting stuff back after he has it.......can you imagine?! He was trying to help daddy & pappy but the wood was a little heavy for him, so he pretty much was just the boss of the project.

Bless his heart though, he's still not sure of bugs and insects. He ducks when a butterfly comes floating by!! I'm sure it doesn't have anything to do with having a older sister.

School's Out

Olivia's last day of school was June 3. How excited are we?! They had a award ceremony for math club, and attendance. Olivia finally got a attendance award. She only missed a 1/2 day this yr. Worked her butt off and I suppose I did too, trying to arrange any appts. around school and just making sure we got up in the morning. I will give her credit though, know matter what she wouldn't miss school! Can't say the same about me when I was her age. Didn't have to ask me twice to stay home, but then again nobody cared so much about how many days of school you missed back in the day!

The school provided cake & punch after the ceremony for the family's.

Getting ready for the last day of school!!

Friends from her class. They are goofy at this age. This was the playground which they spent alot of their day on and their faces are blue from snow cones.

Part of her class. I believe we are missing a few. I love how the parents can come to school and enjoy the day with the kids outside. Never did any parent ever come to our school for much when I was a kid. Guess that wasn't the thing to do then!

Memorial Day Weekend

We had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend w/the Nesbit's. Love it when the weather cooperates and is warm! Hey, I have been cold since Nov., heat don't bother me. The kids had Popsicles and we filled the pool. That poor pool has seen much better days. I figured Logan would not really get in the pool so i didn't put his trunks on him and I also hadn't bought any swim diapers at this point yet. Well he got in while the girls weren't around and bless his heart, of course he fell on his butt. The look was priceless as me and my dad got a chuckle out of it. Don't worry, he was fine, I think a little stunned was all.
I was a bit surprised this time when you offered to go for a nap and dragged me back the hallway when he wanted to go to bed. You always think they are fooling you saying they want to go to bed, but he was serious. There are some perks to be a mom of a 2yo. once in a while. I am hearing a lot more words and sentences coming from Logan. It surprises me to say the least. Now he tells me he's "trickin me"! Funny boy.
School is over and I will post pics soon. Let summer begin!!

BTW..couldn't get Logan to touch, let alone sit in sand last year. Baby steps, baby steps.

Hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend. Ours was great! We got to spend time with the family in Pa. Love how much Logan is talking and how he is addressing people before he talks. He's so cute when he says Grandma! He told me yesterday as I sat him on my lap in a chair after a meltdown about nothing, he said "don't worry, it's ok, I got you"...melt your heart. I always tell him that when he's scared or crying, apparently someone's listening!
Olivia's got two more days left this week of school. Thurs. is her last day. I can't wait, she probably can't wait. She misses school when it's over. Remember my child who cried when she got off the bus last year cause school was over! Never seen me cry getting off the bus the last day! Busy week, this week. Seems like the last week of school is crazy busy. I have to have a last meeting to finalize everything for preschool next yr., Olivia's finally getting a attendance award at school this yr. (1/2 day missed) tomorrow afternoon, shhhh, she don't know yet.!! Then a have a meeting for Parent Group to start planning this falls school carnival! All of this and i need to find a babysitter for Logan........any takers??!!
I will be back to blog probably on Friday, that will be my first day of rest!
