Butterflies

We did the whole butterfly from caterpillar thing. I must admit, it was neat even for me. Funny when you get your live caterpillar's in the mail one day. We had five and all five made it to the end. We did have one die and figured we'd better let them go after that. Afterall, butterflies only live 2-4 weeks, did you know? Not many people do. Apparently mosquito's have a much longer life span, since there are so many of them. But overall it was fun to watch. When do you ever get to see that, start to finish, ever outside. Our cat seemed to like chasing them in their netted cage and that led to putting them in the bedroom with the door shut and also making sure you didn't close the door with the cat in the bedroom also. Yep, it happened once. Does anything truly surprise me anymore, nope!

Summer is off to a nice start. We are learning to sleep in a little. Ok, the kids are, you don't have to convince me to do it. I have gotten my basement totally cleaned and even Olivia noticed how much better it looked. She even dragged Rich down to show him how different it looked. Apparently it was bad. Now to tackle the upstairs. I want to paint this year. Yes, I don't really want to wash walls down, so why not paint them! I have some ideas, so we will see how that plays out.
I guess, well from what my parents tell me, I had a little reputation growing up, of talking a lot all the time. Like I would ever remember or would think I talked a lot myself. Well I'm here to tell you, I don't hold a candle to my daughter. Not one bit. My ears are bleeding from all the talk. She's even talking while eating, because you might just want to know something. Honestly, I have never in my life heard someone talk so much or have that much to say.............On the flip side of that, I have discovered Logan speaking some Spanish. I can understand the boy better as time goes on and Olivia can understand him best. I'm starting to think he's speaking Spanish and nobody is picking up on it. I caught on the other day when he told me "Gracious", going to take a stab at the spelling on that (hey, I took French in school), but i thought, we need to listen more closely to him. Logan loves, loves, loves (sounds like a Jersey Housewife, those who watch Bravo know what I'm saying) Dora and he watches very intently to her, so makes me wonder if he really does know what he's saying and the rest of us need to watch more Dora............???????
