Pennslyvania

Logan eating a whole apple. I'm a big boy now and trust me, he wants treated like one too!
Olivia and her kitty cat face painting from Rock the Docks.
I wish I had more pics, but that is it. It was a nice relaxing week in Pa. With nowhere in particular to go and no phone ringing, it was nice. The weather was mostly cloudy and couldn't decide what it wanted to do, but by the end of the week I was missing my AC and pool. Guess I am spoiled by those two things. I got to mall shop with my sister one day and another day with my mom & Gwen. Nothing beats shopping with adults.
All in all it was great. Logan followed Uncle Mike around like he was stuck to him. So when we got home, logan took one look around and said "we are home, where's uncle mike?" Cute, I thought, wow wonder what would happen if we lived closer?!
Still painting the house, only two rooms left. Can't wait until that's all done. Olivia said if I keep painting everything brown, we are going to turn brown! :) Momma's on a brown house kick, deal with it and I doubt we are going to turn brown!
Olivia had her yearly checkup at the Drs. today. She has grown so much since last year. In fact she's grown more than average for her age. Guess that explains growing out of clothes faster than i can afford them and eating everything (junk food wise) in the house. I think she's going to take after my side of the family as far as tall in height.
Well I got a new phone the other day. A Droid. It's a very complicated little piece of electronic device when you first get it. I love it though. Having all that power on your phone and right in the palm of your hand. What through me over the edge about getting one was the fact that Kindle is a download for free on there. I can read full length books on my cell phone. Life doesn't get any better than that!!

Camper

We finally got out to Rich's mom & dad's camper last weekend. It wasn't so hot and humid that day, so it was nice to be out there.
First stop was the grocery store where the kids talked me into these frog cookies. The top was all frog made out of icing, of course! They did look good.

Every kid likes to ride a golf cart, they are no different.

Logan always finds a way to defy all odds and find something to do that's he's not supposed to!! Like hang out the camper door window.........I give up!

Logan & cousin JJ. They play so good together, even with the age gap. JJ is real good at showing Logan how to do things, instead of the girls who just rip stuff off of him and tell him no!!

We are off to Pa. tomorrow for the week. I see the temp. is not going to come down any for next week. Liv is sure to miss the pool. I will miss our Central air we have come accustomed too! Until then.........Have a great week!!

Summer Fun

Told you we were spending lots of time in our pool. I am so very impressed with Olivia this year in the water. Last year, she was the kid at Myrtle Beach with the life vest on that didn't want her face wet in the pool. For some reason the ocean was a different story. Anyway, this year she is going under water, jumping in, and swimming under water. I was quit shocked the first time this happened. She did hesitate for awhile before going under, but once it happened, bam she was all for it. So proud of her!!

Logan loves the water, but once again, this is just a bad age for stuff like this. I know, it's like beating a dead horse, but seriously, can't wait to get past it. He refuses to sit in a raft/floaty. Wants you to hold him, but then thinks he can just walk off on his own like the older kids. Of course he has do idea he'll sink and can't touch the bottom, but that's what he's got parents for. So for now, he gets limited time in the big pool, but he loves every minute of it.

This week so far not proving to be the best for swimming. I can feel my warm swimming water slipping away.......

Only Olivia

This is what my life has come to....a cat wearing a dog's shirt. Seriously, I've never seen anyone except for Olivia who can do the things she does to her cat and not have her eyeballs scratched out! She insisted that the cat could/would wear a shirt like a dog, well there you have it. There is a black & white kitty under there somewhere.

FYI....I will be out for a little while, my pool water is so warm I refuse to miss a minute of it. Those of you that know me well, know that I'm cold when it's 70 out, so that tells you how warm my water is!! It hasn't been this great swimming in a long time! Bless the 90 degree weather!!

4TH Of July

These were the biggest marshmallows I have ever seen. They were about the size of a apple. Great for toasting. They don't look as big in the pack, but trust me, they were big.
The 4th was great. Family (minus my parents), friends, food, fireworks, and perfect weather. Any summer holiday regardless of the temp., without rain, is perfect. Our pool has come in handy this year. We have used it more so far this year than all year last year. The water is like bath water and that's my kind of swimming water.

This is Gwen and Aurora together. Gwen is Jimmy's GF. They are both part of our family now and we all love them dearly.
Logan is not sure of the big pool and found it better in the little pool. I guess all that water could be a little intimidating at 2. Olivia is swimming under water now and I'm so very proud of her. This is the same child who was down at Myrtle Beach last yr. with a life jacket on in the pool and didn't want her face wet. Needless to say, we have made huge steps toward swimming.
All in all we had a great weekend and it's hard to say goodbye at the end. But with us going to make a trip back soon for a week and then, gasp...Logan's b-day coming soon, we will spend lots of time with everyone! It's time like this I wish we all lived a little closer......
