Road Trip

This probably made no sense to anyone who looked this morning. I sat up last night and wrote a whole bunch of words and the blogger wasn't working right and erased all my words! i was mad and went to bed. Let me start again......

Fall is here and showing it's true colors and I'm welcoming the season and the "down time" it allows. Kids are in bed early, and it gets darker earlier. Now I don't jump up and down for the shorter nights and cold, but it's a little more relaxing. I decided (and Olivia was needing) a trip to Pa. The trees were beautiful (that's how I know I"m getting older) and I kept on pointing them out to Olivia and apparently she noticed too or else she was just humoring me and not saying, "I see them mom, for the 100th time." Every year since Olivia has been born we went to the Akron Zoo. It's a small city zoo, perfect for smaller kids. They have Boo at the Zoo there. Olivia has been there several times (including school trips, etc.) and she was just basically flying through the zoo to the treat stations and wanting to go home. The animals just weren't interesting anymore. They don't have the "big" animals there and the same tiger was getting a little boring for 5yrs. now. I decided we would try the Pitts. Zoo this year and see what it is all about. It was very nice and Olivia seemed to enjoy the different animals this time. Logan just goes with the flow and enjoys being pushed in the stroller and watching people.

The trip went really well. Here are some pics from the zoo and Olivia had a hand in taking some also, she's getting very good with the camera. Next year she will be wanting one for xmas! Oh, my two dogs got sprayed by a skunk last week and even after I have bathed them, the one still stinks. I know everyone says to use tomato juice, but does anyone have any other remedies???

This picture is showing my age. We were driving and I couldn't help but notice the wonderful view. You can't see it much in the photo, but in the car you could see hills forever.

My bunny and turkey! They both looked thrilled, don't they?!

These were the elephants and they had two babies with them. They were cute and big already.

This baby loved my baby. He/She walked right up to the window to Olivia and therefore attracted a crowd of onlookers. It just kept starring at her!

The gorilla's were very interesting and I could have watched them forever. Very human-like and just plain interesting to watch.

Olivia's Jelly Fish picture!

and starfish.

I told Olivia to hang on to him and don't let go and that's exactly what she did. She got a death grip and never left go!!

Here is a rare picture! Aunt Nicole & Olivia! Logan was fast asleep in the stroller, so he lost out. Good-bye Zoo!!
